PIONEER PUMPS EMPTY ARTIC CIRCLE HARBOUR AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

The Norwegian contractor Secora SA is advanced on a challenging project on the island of Værøy, off the coast of Norway, 130 kilometres north of the Artic Circle. To accommodate larger fishing vessels and ferries, the harbour needs to be deepened. Normally dredgers would be used for this task, but the basalt granite floor of the harbour at Sørlands means that the only way is to excavate the additional 3 m depth by drilling and blasting. full release

NEW SLURRY PUMPS FROM PIONEER

Pioneer Pump Limited is using Hillhead 2007 to launch a completely new range of slurry pumps to its already extensive range of centrifugal pumps.
    The new range of slurry pumps, with option of elastomer rubber or NI-HARD liners, provides flow capacities up to 3,500 m³ /hour and heads of 110 m. All pumps in the 18 model range can be driven by diesel engine or electric motor and Pioneer Pump can provide the total package built around your exact requirements. Self-priming option is available on all models.

Pioneer Manage Rapid Turnaround of Skidmounted
Pump Set for Delivery to Ascension Island (Release No: 6002 - Oct 2006)
The ability to respond quickly to customer requests is one of the services that is setting Pioneer Pumps apart from the rest.
    Given just one week to supply an urgent order for delivery to Ascension Islands, in the south of the Atlantic Ocean, the company built, engineered and fully tested a unit to customer satisfaction.
Pulling all stops out, Pioneer Pump completely packaged an 8” (200 mm) pump set with JCB 444T engine, ran it through their test bench and delivered it to Morrison Construction in the Ascension Islands in less than one week after receiving the call.
    The pump set, complete with spark suppression equipment and heavy duty 24 hour run tank, was quickly built and tested in their Suffolk factory. The pump set was built around a Pioneer PP88-S12 self-priming centrifugal pump coupled to a JCB 44T diesel engine. The pump was configured to deliver 650 m³ per hour at 1800 rpm. It has a maximum head height of 50 m. Pioneer Pumps is the only company offering JCB engine options to its range of pump sets. full release

New Series of Super Silent Pumps from Pioneer are the Quietest in the UK
(Release No: 5004 - June 2005)
The new super silent Quattro PP44-3LD1 is a 4” pumps – the first in a completely new series of self-priming, vacuum assisted centrifugal pumps from Pioneer. Shown at Hillhead mounted on a skid, the new pump has a maximum flow of 300 m³ per hour – as much a twice that typically associated with a 4” pumps and almost as much as a 6” equivalent.
