PIONEER PUMP AGAIN LEAD THE WAY IN PUMPING EFFICIENCY
The PP86C21 vacuum assisted self priming pump The Pioneer Prime PP86C21-C18ACERT vacuum assisted self priming pump has been developed to provide a high-efficiency solution for high-pressure dewatering applications in open cast mining and quarries. Delivering up to 700 ft (22 bar), the first in a new series of high pressure pumps will have maximum flow of in excess of 3000 US gallons per meter (680 m³/hour) are driven by the latest Tier III emission compliant, CAT C18ACERT common rail electronic managed engine, which has already been proven in demanding mining and mineral processing applications. Providing as much as 30% more uplift over similarly sized competitive pumps, it provides high productivity, more efficient use of engine power for lower fuel consumption.
As with all Pioneer Prime pumps, the PP86C21 comes with SAE 1 housing allowing for direct drive from the engine, thereby eliminating the need for gearboxes or intermediate shafts. This allows the pumps to be driven at direct speeds, which, in most cases, maximise performance for low running costs - particularly important with rising fuel prices. Even with a larger 21 impellor, the new pumps will retain the standard features already seen on the proven C17 high pressure pump range (550 ft) such as guaranteed run-dry capability and excellent NPSHr ( Net Positive Suction Head required)characteristics. This allows Pioneer pumps to maintain excellent suction lift capabilities, thereby reducing number of times the pumps need to be relocated in a major dewatering application. New Solids Handling, Low Head Pump MinExpo 2008 also sees Pioneer Pump launch of a new 4 (100 mm) solids handling low head dewatering pump the PP44S8-C1.5ACERT. Choose from either a 3 solids handling impeller or, for more demanding mine dewatering applications, a 2 solids handling high efficiency impeller most likely to be used in mining dewatering applications. The 2 solids handing impeller shown in evaluation studies in standard centrifugal format that the pump is capable of flows over 1000 US gallons per minute (230 m³/hr) maintaining an operating efficiency in excess of 85%. This makes it one of the most energy efficient pumps on the market to help lower costs for applications demanding 24 hours a day continuous pumping. In Pioneer Prime configuration the pump is offered with a Tier III CAT 1.5 litre engine delivering approximately 15 HP at 1800 rpm and generating 800 US gpm at 50 ft head a combination that offers major savings in fuels costs over many existing pumps on the market. Not only do Pioneer Pumps help reduce running costs, but they also provide further savings by fast, easier maintenance and exceptional reliability. The latter being the primary consideration of a great many installations. Superior Performance Pioneer Pump has consistently stated that for many applications their pumps significantly outperform others makes. Typically a Pioneer 4 pump will deliver the same level of productivity as other 6 pumps with the efficiency savings in fuel, installation and maintenance costs. Over-sizing pump specifications for mines and quarries has been the norm for many years and it could be justified while operating costs were much lower. Today, pump managers need to be much more cost conscious. Pioneer Pump invites challenges from customers to show just how their pumps can deliver superior performance at lower costs. With manufacturing facilities in the USA and the UK, and a network of dealers, Pioneer Pump is able to provide the required level of customer service expected. And Pioneer Pump will do much more than simply provide pumps. There engineers will meet with mine and quarry personnel to determine the most efficient pumping solution including optimisation and installation of pipelines and special configuration of the pumps as may be required. With Pioneer Pump, Customer satisfaction' is high on the agenda. |
